Every decision can lead to promising outcomes or unfavorable ones. Understanding the factors that can impact one’s life is essential to help drive better decisions. To facilitate the process, a Pros and Cons list template is now available. It consists of three unique formats to help the user reach a decision.
There are currently three free versions with differing levels of complexity available for use: Pros & Cons S1, S2 and S3 from left to right.
Should the person buy a house or rent? Acquire X university degree or go into trades? Purchase a household appliance or a new computer? Every decision has its advantages or disadvantages, which is why it can be valuable to use a Pros and Cons template.
Pros and Cons List S1 is a simple, yet powerful tool to support decision-makers. It provides two spaces, one for Pros which means favorable outcomes from the creator’s point of view and Cons, negative factors that could impact the decision. In conjunction, Pros and Cons provide a better picture of a topic or goal, helping to drive a final decision.
The free Pros & Cons list S2 expands on the S1 solution by allowing users to add a value of 1 to 10 (includes a drop-down) for each favorable and unfavorable point. The summation of every pros and cons rating can be seen at the top of the table alongside a short paragraph of the results.
There are times when multiple decisions are available at hand. To help determine the best course of action, it can be valuable to run multiple pros and cons at the same time. This helps the user see the options on their own and as part of the bigger picture. It consists of the same functionalities as S2, allowing users to evaluate each pros and cons from 1 to 10 and summarizing the outcome for easy navigability.
For those interested in printing a copy of the pros and cons list, all that is needed is to press CTRL+P or go to File -> Print.
