               Charisma is oftentimes attributed to a natural way of building deeper connections with another person. For charismatic leadership, it is viewed as a powerful tool to inspire others to act in a certain way or accomplish organizational goals. In many cases, it supplements ones legal or traditional authorities, but at the same time, it can exist without it.

               Many transformational leaders are found to have good charismatic leadership with their aptness to focus on the audience to achieve objectives. In many groups, they are perceived to have the ability to maintain operations and initiate changes in any organization with relative ease and efficiency.

               Many see charismatic leadership as an individual’s natural ability, which makes it difficult to attempt to emulate their success. This article aims to demystify this topic and list some of the key drivers of charismatic leadership.


               To achieve charismatic leadership, a leader is expected to possess good communication skills. Their communication expertise is brought forward with their body language, words and environment. Through this, a leader can clarify their vision, deescalate conflict and establish a strong rapport with employees, suppliers and customers. A good leader can communicate their thoughts in a group setting or one-on-one meeting comfortably and sometimes without even uttering a word.

Charismatic leadership requires a leader to have a good convincing skill that will motivate the workers to see their value in an organization.                Another characteristic of charismatic leadership is positive body language. A leader is expected to be considered charismatic if he or she possesses positive, open, engaged and warm body language. This means that they are likely to be seen actively engaged with their body language in conversations which includes making eye-to-eye contact with a person they are talking with and facial expressions. This characteristic of charismatic leadership is unique and endearing.


                     Charismatic leadership can exist without the presence of the substance. But this only happens for a short period. Glitzy and flashy behavior can attract an individual’s attention. But as time goes on, these people will be looking for a leader that could provide them with valuable and reliable information. Charismatic leadership does not mean talking and talking. It also means knowing when to talk and doing the talk. A person’s charm can attract people, but the substance can make the relationship closer, stronger and more meaningful.


                     One of the important characteristics of charismatic leadership is confidence. A confident leader can face even the toughest situation in his or her life and business. A confident, charismatic leadership will feel more comfortable and will project it more strongly no matter what kind of people they are talking with. They know who they are and do not even try to imitate or copy anyone. Charismatic leadership is confident and secure enough to feel more comfortable with how they look. Even at times when they do not know about the subject matter, they are confident in not knowing, helping to project a strong, yet professional environment and sense of purpose.


                     Even though charismatic leaders may already have a powerful personality, they also possess character and maturity. They are hard to be convinced of someone by only showing his good side. They will give their trust to someone who deserves it. They are using their knowledge and wisdom they learned for many years to make the appropriate decisions and to bring the necessary expertise when questions arise. Charismatic leaders will behave maturely and take ownership of their responsibilities in their decisions and movements in any situation.


                     Charismatic leaders have strong self-awareness and awareness of their peers. They understand that they are not perfect, and they have their own unique characteristics and personalities that differentiate themselves from other charismatic leaders. He or she always allows room for self-improvement.

                     A charismatic leader does not only think of himself but also the business, his employees, customers and suppliers. They tend to learn things that they can share with others in the future. Charismatic leadership does not only mean possessing the key drivers mentioned above, but it also means being a good model for the people around them.
