Financial transactions have existed throughout history, helping buyers and sellers exchange goods based on their needs. To help improve control over the exchanges, people have used ledgers. As technology and globalization evolved, goods and services exchanges have grown exponentially. Therefore, tracking it has become more important than ever. To assist in the process, a check register template is now available for download.
To start using the check register template, go to the main table and add the beginning balance similar to the sample below. Then, add all the line items that have occurred so far, include the date, check #, description, category, debit/credit and clearing. Track the changes to the check register in the summary available at the top left.
For those interested in printing a copy of the check register template, all that is needed is to press CTRL+P or go to File -> Print.
